The 1st International Exhibition of Transport & Logistics, Road Construction, Road Maintenance and Related Industries was held from December 18 to December 20 and was attended by 115 domestic and foreign companies involved in transportation and road maintenance. Different types of machineries for road construction, bridge construction and tunnel construction, and various kinds of heavy equipment machines like loaders, bulldozers, graders, snowplows and road assistance equipment as well as devices used for improvement of road pavement were exhibited in the mentioned exposition.
Oghab Afshan as the manufacturer of Oghab - Scania buses and coaches received the award for the best manufacturing company in the stated exhibition. Abdollah Akbari Rad, as the representative of the company, received the award from Dr. Abbas Akhoundi, the Minister of Roads and Urban Development.
Also, Oghab Afshan unveiled the final version of its Fleet Management System (FMS) in the above-mentioned exhibition and held training workshops regarding the operation of the intelligent system. The workshops were well received by the participants, including the Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development, bus and coach owners and drivers, and managers of transportation companies.
Amir Abbas Mohammad Gholipour, the Oghab Afshan’s intelligent fleet system manager, says: “The system has communication with several other internal systems of the buses and coaches. Its final output is the online remote control of the vehicles. All of the internal data of the vehicles, including the communication data between the control units, are sent to the system. The driver’s behavior, the road and vehicle’s conditions are, on the basis of the received data, analyzed. This can effectively help the whole country’s transportation fleet, especially in analysis of the accidents. We can observe and monitor the drivers’ behaviors and have constant communication with organizations such as the police and terminal organizations. The system is implemented in Iran for the first time by Oghab Afshan Company.”
